High-Performance Drive and Control Systems
Industrial products appropriate for entertainment and stage applications.Bosch Rexroth products for Industrial Automation applications can also be used in entertainment applications, from simple Point-to-Point motion to complex synchronization, motion profiles, and interpolation motion. Drive solutions offer many advantages and benefits, including, cost effective system design and safety-on-board technology. The power range of the drive solution is from 50 Watts to more than 600 Kilowatts. Motion Logic solutions can be Motion Logic in the Drive (MLD), Motion Logic Controls (MLC), or Programmable – eXtended - Logic Control (XLC) for industrial applications.
Drives solutions for stage technology can be used for lower machinery, such as podiums, stage and orchestra pit elevators, lifts, trap doors, and many other applications. For the upper machinery stage technology, the drive technology can be used for bar hoist winches, point hoist winches, stage setting and curtain draws, lighting trolleys, special effects, and more.
The IndraDrive from Bosch Rexroth has functions such as Programmable PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) frequency, load depended PWM-frequency adaption, high-performance flux-vector / servo control, integrated motion Control, intelligent brake control, absolute encoder system, fast “Drive to Drive” communication, integrated safety technology, temperature controlled cooling fans, and drive-based PLC functionality. These functions offer advantages and benefits such as low noise operation, jerk free and quiet motion, high positioning accuracy, precise synchronization, space saving design, compact mechanical design, elimination of the use of external safety equipment, and cost-effective system design.
Complete system solution are possible with IndraWorks engineering software, IndraControl L platform for Inline I/O’s, Filedline I/O’s, and Motion and Logic Controls, IndraDrive platform for drive controls, IndraDyn platform for synchronous and asynchronous motors, and IndraControl V platform for HMI’s such as operation terminals, embeded terminals, industrial PC’s, and operating terminals.
IndraMotion MLD has the PLC in the IndraDrive, where an external PLC is no longer necessary for applications up to 10 axes. The IndraLogic XLC is the Bosh Rexroth’s next generation of PLC controls with IndraLogic that has the option of motion control. IndraMotion MLC is the company’s rack based control that offers logic control, motion control and robot control, plus the functionality of Control-to-Control (C2C), which links MLC controls to synchronize all the axes of the controls. The MLC can control a total of 64 axes. All the control systems are open systems that follow open standards, such as IEC 61131-3, PLCOpen, SERCOS Automation fieldbus, and many more.
The engineering software offered with IndraWorks provides the engineering framework for all Bosch-Rexroth systems and solutions. The product provides for project-based, parameterization, programming, diagnosis, and visualization in one software environment.
IndraWorks offers seamless integration of all tools with consistent and central data management, transparent access to all system components, uniform programming according to IEC 61131-3. IndraWorks Engineering has tools for project administration, configuration wizards for function blocks, drive commissioning, PLC programming, HMI configuration, CAM builder for specific motion profiles, periphery configuration, diagnosis with tools such as built-in oscilloscope, user management, firmware management, and online help.
Having all the products through one vender makes it easy for customers to apply the right solution for the application and eliminates the need of dealing with different vendors, although the systems are open standard so the customer now has the option of customizing the solution. Bosch Rexroth is said to have efficient solutions for stage and entertainment purposes.
