Keeping 800 Star Trek Shots Organized
There are several different editing stations concerned with making a film, some are early in the process and are concerned with scene generation, others are at the end of the process at final editing. But, some of the most important work is done while trying to keep all the pieces together.
Greg Hyman was one of the editors working on the latest Star Trek movie (just arriving on DVD and Blue Ray at your video stores). As one of the Visual Effects Editors at Industrial Light & Magic, Greg did not work with a particular scene. He got the job of keeping ‘all the Visual Effects scenes’ straight.
